Graduate Record Exam (GRE)

Whether you are planning to go to graduate school or business school — or just exploring your options — you are taking an important step toward your future. It is a smart move to show schools your best and with the GRE® General Test, you can!

The GRE General Test gives you the Power of Confidence to help you do your best. With the GRE General Test, you decide which scores to send to schools. If you feel you didn't do your best on test day, that's okay. You can retake the test and then send only the scores you want schools to see. It's all part of the ScoreSelect® option, only available with GRE tests.

The GRE® General Test is offered year-round as a computer-delivered test in most locations around the world. Appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Register early to get your preferred test date and test location online.

Important: 

The name you use when you register for a GRE test must exactly match (excluding accents, apostrophes and spaces) the name on the identification (ID) documents that you will present on the day of your GRE test. If it does not, you may be prohibited from taking the test or your test scores may be cancelled after you take the test.

Online Registration

• You need to create or have a My GRE Account to register online.
• Use an American Express, Discover, JCB, MasterCard or VISA credit/debit card or voucher number. Note: American Express, Discover, JCB and MasterCard are NOT accepted for testing in Nigeria; only VISA, PayPal and voucher numbers are accepted. ETS reserves the right to add or delete payment options at its own discretion and without notice.
• If you are testing in Mainland China, refer to the instructions in your NEEA account for payment methods.
• If you are paying with a paper check or money order, you will need to request an Authorization Voucher by mail.
