TOEFL® Test

The TOEFL® Test is used to evaluate proficiency in English of those speakers whose native language is not English. It measures the ability of non-native speakers of English to use and understand English as it is spoken, written, and heard in college and university settings. TOEFL® Test scores are accepted by more than 9,000 colleges, universities, and licensing agencies in 130 countries.

ULCI is an official ETS TOEFL® Testing Centre and also provides high quality TOEFL® Test preparation classes, with the finest instructors and the best available technology. Our team of instructors keep up to date with the tests all year round, to stay on top of the Test Preparation trends and to make sure our students learn in the best possible way in order to achieve high scores.

Receiving high marks on an English proficiency test is the single most important thing that non-native English speakers can do to increase their chances of studying abroad. High marks on the TOEFL® Test increase your chances of getting a student visa, getting into a good educational programme, and (in some cases) of getting scholarships.

The TOEFL® Test assesses four basic language skills: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. It tests specific skills needed for students in an academic environment.

There is a mandatory speaking section, with integrated tasks included in both speaking and writing sections. There isn’t, however, a separate grammar or structure section, as the use of grammar is strongly evaluated in the speaking and writing sections.
